THE ROLE OF EACH PERSON IN THE CONFABULATING

How it works
Using these characters, students participate in collaborative games that develop language, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

1. Poetic Definitions
The Fabulous character shines brightly! The idea here is to highlight that, among the vast range of content available online, there is a magical space dedicated to fantasy. That's right: it's not a literal truth, but rather a celebration of imagination. Just like the incredible Fabulous, this content is designed to inspire and encourage everyone's creativity!

2. Invented Definitions
Get ready for an exciting adventure with two iconic characters: Pinocchio, the great liar; and Sherlock, the astute investigator! Here, students have the chance to become Pinocchio, challenging the truth, or take on the role of Sherlock, discovering whether their classmates are lying or telling the truth! It's the perfect opportunity to stimulate creativity, persuasion, and critical thinking. With only a dictionary in hand, fun meets learning in a truly
engaging way!

3. Real News and Fake News
This exciting activity invites students to unleash their creativity and create invented headlines, mixing unexpected elements while exploring Pinocchio's mischief and the journalist's cunning! Then, they engage in a lively discussion about: - What separates a true news story from a fabricated one? - What clues help us detect fake news? - How can headlines shape our perception of reality? This incredible game stimulates media awareness and enhances critical analysis skills in the face of misinformation!

4. Who wrote this news article?
This exciting card game demonstrates how misinformation unfolds. Every day we are bombarded with content masquerading as truth. It’s a real challenge to distinguish carefully-researched material from a story invented by a mischievous Pinocchio seeking to deceive. But don't worry! The cards reveal clues, however subtle, that help us skillfully separate truth from lies!
